How can I love me when I don’t know me?
I know what I should be
I know what I should weigh
I know what I should do
I know what I should say
I know what I want to be
I know what I’m not
I know want to do
I know what I’ve got
But how do I know who I am?
How can I love me when I don’t know me?
I don’t actually love me.
I love what people think of me.
I love the way people look at me.
I love when people listen to me.
I love the reflection of myself in other people’s eyes
I love the reflection of myself in other people’s words
I love the reflection of myself in other peoples actions
But I don’t know what I really look like to myself
So no, I don’t love me.
I don’t know me.
But it’s not too late to figure it out.
