WARIF was established in 2016 to help Nigerian women overcome the pain and stigma created as a result of gender-based violence such as rape, kidnapping, slavery and human trafficking. Through its various welfare programmes, WARIF helps bring the victims back into mainstream society.

The Role of the Midwives: The conduit for change

Nigerian rural areas have a lot of midwives who are highly respected leaders of their community. These midwives act as an interface between WARIF and the affected women. SAP People Connect 365 proves to be a technology platform for WARIF to contact the midwives and vice versa. Through the unique SMS service provided via this service, WARIF ensures that it is always in touch with the midwives and is kept up to date with all the events happening around their respective communities/geographical areas.
