A Medical Parking Structure Best Practice

Parking Design Associates (PDA) is proud of our completed Sharp Medical Center Parking Structure in Chula Vista, CA.

This structure features 7 levels and 720 spaces and was designed for doctors, staff and visitors. It was on the same campus as the hospital buildings, and was located near them.

A key challenge we faced during design was that the hospital needed to function uninterrupted during construction.

As a result, once the client approved the design, PDA kept close watch over the construction process. We monitored the progress continuously to ensure that the client’s goals of normal hospital operations were being met.

Continuous monitoring is an essential practice to make sure the hospital — or any other commercial or residential facility — functions normally, with no interruption, during the parking construction.

It is a key tool we used to deliver the client the parking structure they had envisioned within budget and on time.
